Strengthen My Hands

But now, O God, strengthen my hands

For I’m weary, and there’s work to be done.

I know new mercies are promised each day

At the rising of the sun.

But now, O God, Strengthen my hands

For the night seems very long.

Sustain me, restore me, O God, I implore

For when I am weak You are strong.

But now, O God, Strengthen my hands,

Though worn and calloused they be.

I’ll keep pressing on, even when I’m not strong

So that others see You and not me.
